Television show The Wire, which is one of the best TV shows to ever come out of the States and you should check it out, is having a big impact on the careers of those who are appearing in the show.
Ramon Rodriguez is the latest evidence of this as he appears in new blockbuster Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Best known as Renaldo, Omar's fella and partner in crime, in the hit U.S crime drama he has now step off the small screen and into one of the biggest movies of the summer.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a sequel to the 2007 global hit and Rodriguez is a new addition to the cast. He takes on the role of Leo Spitz, Sam's college roommate who owns a website on conspiracy theories. He accompanies Sam and Mikaela all the way to Egypt.
He will also appear alongside John Travolta and Denzel Washigton in The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 later this summer.

The role of Detective Jimmy McNulty shot British actor Dominic West to fame back in 2002, appearing in all five series until the show ended last year.
The actor has gone on to find success on the big screen with roles in The Forgotten and Hannibal Rising before landing the part of the traitorous Theron in 300.
Last year he mixed movies and TV with Punisher: War Zone and The Devil's Whore. Later this year he will star in Centurion which follows the legendary Roman Ninth Legion, led by General Virilus, to wipe out the Picts and to kill their leader Gorlacon.
In the last couple of years the career of Idris Elba, who takes the part of Stringer Bell in The Wire, has been flying with movies roles all over the shop.
He has moved between British films such as 28 Weeks Later to Hollywood for Ridley Scott's American Gangster.
And with roles in RocknRolla and Obsessed he has moved from supporting actor to leading man as Obsessed topped the U.S box office earlier this year.
But he hasn't left TV completely behind as he appeared in several episodes of the U.S version of The Office. He will next be seen in Takers which will be released next year.
The character of Omar Little proved to be the catapult that Michael K Williams needed as he has juggled television and movie work ever since.
Most recently he has appeared in the likes of The Incredible Hulk, Miracle at St Anna and Gone Baby Gone, working with the likes of Spike Lee, Ben Affleck and Edward Norton.
His TV credits are also impressive working Six Degrees, CSI:NY and Boston Legal. He will next appear alongside Viggo Mortensen in The Road.
Since his role as Cedric Daniels actor Lance Reddick has stayed mainly in TV with Lost, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order Criminal Intent.
However the big screen beckons later this year when he stars alongside singer Mariah Carey in Tennessee.
Wendell Pierce, who plays 'Bunk Moreland' has done a couple of movies; The fighting Temptations and Stay Alive while Sonja Sohn has remained mainly in TV with Cold Case but did appear in Step Up 2 the Streets.
