The Lucky One
We haven't seen the lovely Zac Efron on the big screen since New Year's Eve at the end of last year but he is set to return later this spring with The Lucky One.
The Lucky One is the latest Nicholas Sparks novel to be adapted for the big screen and after the likes of The Notebook and Dear John I think it's fair to say girls that we are going to need some tissues.
Scott Hicks is in the director's chair for the movie and this is his first film since The Boys Are Back.
The beautiful Taylor Schilling plays Efron's love interest in the movie while the fabulous Blythe Danner is also on the cast list.
U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Efron) returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive... a photograph he found of a woman he doesn’t even know.
Learning her name is Beth (Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel.
Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.
As with all Nicholas Sparks inspired movies The Lucky One promises to be full of romance and drama as the course of true love never does run smoothly in his novels.
Prepare to shed a few tears ladies!!!
