The Jane Austen book Club is an ode to the work of Jane Austen and her six novels.Six ordinary people join a book club to discuss to discuss Jane Austen’s work.There’s Jocelyn (Maria Bello) a never married breeder of Ridgeback hounds, Bernadette (Kathy Baker) who has been married six times, Purdi (Emily Blunt) who is unhappily married teacher who is attracted to one of her students, Sylvia (Amy Brenneman) whose husband has left her for another woman, (Sylvia’s daughter Allegra (Maggie Grace) and Grigg (Hugh Dancy) the only male and an Austen newbie.The group begin to discover that their lives and romances begin to reflect those in the novels.
