The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey promises to be one of the biggest movies of 2012 - and it is one that I seriously cannot wait for.
In fact next year promises to be an awesome year for movie with The Avengers, the return of Spider Man and, of course the third Batman movie from Christopher Nolan.
But The Hobbit has been a long time coming and it will be great to see Peter Jackson back in the director's chair and returning to Middle Earth.
While there are some well known names on the cast list such as Ian McKellan and Andy Serkis this movie is the biggest project for Martin Freeman, who will lead the cast as Bilbo Baggins.
But this time around it's the Dwarves that feature heavily and Jackson has cast a number of British stars including the well known Richard Armitage and James Nesbitt to the less known Aidan Turner.
Filming is underway in New Zealand and while The Hobbit is a new story there will be some familiar faces popping up including Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett and Orlando Bloom.
The images that we have seen so far suggest that these two movies are going to be totally awesome and we can now meet all of the dwarves.
