The Gold Bracelet
A man fights to save his family who are faced with a personal tragedy in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks on America.
Arjun Singh (Kavi Raz) is a God fearing man who left his native land of Punjab for a new life in America. Formerly a professor, he now runs a garage, remaining steadfast to his culture and beliefs, while proudly embracing American society as his own.
When his daughter's wedding is arranged he digs out an old gold bracelet, a "karra" that was given to him by his father- in-law on the day of his own marriage.
A symbol of strength, the gold bracelet holds special significance to him. The wedding ceremonies fill the household with joy, but the happiness is short lived when the events of September 11th plunge the nation into despair.
The Gold Bracelet tells the story of one family's personal struggle for survival in the face of a national tragedy.
