George Clooney has already had a fabulous 2011 as he directed and starred in political thriller The Ides of March.
And while everyone expects that movie to feature on the awards circuit it is his latest movie The Descendants that is making all the noise.
Yes the Alexander Payne directed movie has been winning Oscar support left, right and centre in recent weeks and could feature very heavily when the major award ceremonies roll around.
Clooney leads a cast that mixes experience with youth as Beau Bridges and Judy Greer are joined by Shailene Woodley & Amara Miller - a movie that could help launch the careers of both of the young stars.
And we have the new international trailer for you to take a look at.
The Descendants is a sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic journey for Matt King (Clooney) an indifferent husband and father of two girls, who is forced to re-examine his past and embrace his future when his wife suffers a boating accident off of Waikiki.
The event leads to a rapprochement with his young daughters while Matt wrestles with a decision to sell the family’s land handed down from Hawaiian royalty and missionaries.
Don't be surprised if another Best Actor Oscar nomination comes Clooney's way for his central performance - a Best Picture & Best Director nod could also be on the cards.
The Descendants is released 27th January.
