Marvel have already enjoyed one monster blockbuster this year and it looks like The Amazing Spider Man is also whipping up a storm.
It has been five years since Spidey last swung into cinemas but this July, in the very assured hands of director Marc Webb Peter Parker is back.
With a new lead actor and new director on board it only seems right that the franchise goes all the way back to the beginning and that is exactly what they have done.
And we have some clips from the movie for you to take a quick look at:
The fantastic Andrew Garfield fought off competition from the likes of Jamie Bell and Logan Lerman for the coveted role of Peter Parker, a part that looks set to send his star rocketing.
And as if a great lead actor is not enough the support cast is equally as impressive as Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, Sally Field. Rhys Ifans and Denis Leary are all also on board.
Emma Stone is starring in the first big budget blockbuster of her career as she takes on the role of Gwen Stacy, a classmate and love interest for Parker.
The Amazing Spider Man follows Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field).
Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets.
As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner.
As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.
The Amazing Spider-Man is released 3rd July
