So not surprisingly Neeson is back as retired CIA operative Bryan Mills for a second Taken movie, and this promises to be one of the most exciting action movies of autumn 2012.
Second time around and it is Olivier Megaton who is in the director's chair, taking over from Pierre Morel, as he follows up work movies Transporter 3 and Colombiana.
Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a 'particular set of skills', stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim from kidnappers in Taken.
When the father of one of the villains Bryan killed swears revenge, and takes his wife hostage in Istanbul, Bryan uses the same advanced level of special forces tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.
Neeson is not the only one who is returning as Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace are also back as they reprise their roles of Lenore and Kim.
If you haven't had chance to see the trailer it promises to be bigger and better than it's predecessor and Neeson will one again cement himself as an action here with this movie.
Taken 2 is released 5th October
