It's Friday again, it keeps coming round at an incredible speed, so it's that time of the week where we take a look at the studio news.
Who has signed on to what film? Who is releasing what? Let's find out.
- A movie about Brian Epstein, the man who discovered the Beatles and died of an overdose at the age of thirty two, is about to go into production according to Variety.
Producer David Permut has acquired Tony Gittelson's script A Life in the Day which follows Epstein and the formation of the Beatles.
This comes just days after it was revealed that Robert Zemeckis was negotiating with Disney to remake Yellow Submarine.
- Helen Mirren and Pete Postlethwaite have signed on to remake Brighton Rock.
The movie will be directed by Rowan Joffe and Sam Riley and Andrea Riseborough are already on the cast list.
The film is based on Graham Greene's novel and follows a gangster who marries a waitress who witnessed a murder in a bid to keep her quiet.
The original movies was released in 1947 and starred Richard Attenborough.
- The production of Green Lantern will no longer be filmed in Australia instead moving to America because of the rise in the Australian dollar.
Director Martin Campbell has been looking for suitable locations in the States and it looks like it may relocate to Louisiana.
Ryan Reynolds will take on the role of Green Lanter/ Hal Jordan, a second superhero role for the actor after taking on Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine this summer.
A 2011 release is expected for the movie.
- Hayden Christensen has signed up to star in Vanishing On Seventh Street with Thandie Newton and John Leguizamo in negotiations to join him.
Written by Brad Anderson and Anthony Jaswinski the movie will be set in a city that used to thrive and five survivors are fighting against the shadowy forms that are causing people to disappear in a bid to stay alive.
The will also be directed by Anderson and production is expected to get underway in October in Detroit.
- Blake Lively has joined the cast of ben Affleck's new movie The Town according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film sees Affleck return to the director's chair for the first time since his debut Gone Baby Gone, he will also star in the movie.
The Gossip Girl star will join Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall and Jeremy Renner on the cast list. Chris Cooper is also rumoured to be in negotiations for the role as Affleck's father.
The film, which follows a bank manager, a criminal and an FBI agent as they try to track down a robber, will be produced by Basil Iwanyk and Graham King.
- Channing Tatum has signed on to star in Eagle of the Ninth.
It's been a great year for Tatum so far with Fighting and then blockbuster G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, which has really raised hi profile.
Tatum will take on the role of Marcus Aquila who is a centurion sent to Scotland to uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of his father.
Joining Tatum is Jamie Bell, mark Strong and Donald Sutherland.
- Ericson Core has is on board to direct xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the third instalment of the film franchise will see Vin Diesel return to the role of Cage, despite not appearing in the last movie.
John Brancato and Michael Ferris, the men behind Terminator Salvation, have penned the new script, and Core has replaced Rob Cohen as director.
