Straw Dogs was first released back in 1971 with Dustin Hoffman leading the cast - this winter sees the movie remade with a whole new cast.
Directed by Rod Lurie the movie brings together James Marsden, Kate Bosworth Alexander Skarsgård, and Dominic Purcell as Gordon Williams' novel The Siege of Trencher's Farm is adapted once again.
It is the first time that we have seen Marsden on the big screen since the success of Hop earlier this year. While this is the first of whole host of projects for Bosworth over the next year.
David and Amy Sumner (Marsden and Bosworth), a Hollywood screenwriter and his actress wife, return to her small hometown in the deep South to prepare the family home for sale after her father's death.
Once there, tensions build in their marriage and old conflicts re-emerge with the locals, including Amy's ex-boyfriend Charlie (Skarsgård), leading to a violent confrontation.
We have a nice eclectic mix of genres hitting the big screen this winter from action to animation and comedy to drama and now thriller fans have something to look forward to.
Straw Dogs promises to be an edge of your seat ride that will bring something a little different to the big screen this festive season.
Straw Dogs is released 4th November
