Sam Worthington in Wrath of the Titans
Sam Worthington has become one of the biggest names on the big screen in the last couple of years as she has mixed and matched the types of movies that he has made.
And he is back this week with Wrath Of The Titans as he reprises the role of Perseus, two years after he played it for the first time.
Worthington may have kicked off his career in the early noughties but it wasn't until 2009 that he made a real impact.
That summer he teamed up with Christian Bale for Terminator Salvation before going on to be part of the biggest movie of all time.
Avatar took over the world at the end of 2009 and Worthington's star rocketed as he played Jake Sully in the movie.
The movie took motion capture performances and 3D movies to a new level as it was met with critical and commercial acclaim.
Avatar went on to gross in excess of $2.7 billion at the global box office to become the biggest grossing movie of all time, toppling Titanic.
And there are sequel talks in the pipeline but it doesn't look like we will be returning to Pandora any time soon.
Since the success of Avatar Worthington has mixed his roles from the likes of low key action movie The Debt to blockbuster Clash of the Titans.
The Debt was one of the best political thrillers to hit the big screen last year as Worthington starred alongside Jessica Chastain and Helen Mirren.
It was back in 2010 when Worthington took over the role of Perseus in the remake of the eighties classic.
And when a movie takes over $493 million it shouldn't come as a surprise when a sequel pops up.
And Wrath of the Titans promises to be bigger and better than the movie that went before as Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes are also back as Zeus and Hades.
Set ten years after the first Perseus is called on once again to save mankind as he ventures into the underworld to save Zeus.
Worthington already has one project under his belt in 2012, which came in the form of Man On A Ledge and he has also completed work on Drift.
And the actor is not short of projects as he also has Thunder Run in the pipeline and he has been linked with Hunter Killer.
Thunder Run is a a war movie that will see Worthington team up with Gerard Butler and Matthew McConaughey.
Hunter Killer is new movie from director Antoine Faqua.
Wrath Of The Titans is released 30th March.
