Graduate Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir Kapoor) may have poor marks, but he's still dreaming of an exciting career.
He takes a deep breath and dives into the world of sales, rumoured to be THE ultra-cool career for all smart people blocked from entering medical, engineering or business schools by pesky entrance exams.
And it turns out to be everything he dreamt of, with its sharp-dressed, smooth-talking men and women who can sell anything to anyone.
But soon, his idea of success begins clashing with the strange ways of these 'professionals' he looked up to.
Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year is the story of a fresh-faced graduate trying to find a balance between the demands of the 'professional' way, and the way of his heart. In the process, he manages to turn his world upside down, and his career right side up.
