Rihanna is to make a name for herself on the big screen next month as she makes her acting debut in Battleship.
Yes the songstress is set to kick off her acting career in quite possibly the biggest way as she tackles the blockbuster.
She teams up with filmmaker Peter Berg to take on the role of Petty Officer (GM2) Cora Raikes, a weapons specialist who gets to kick some alien ass.
Sorry boys if you think she is going to be prancing around in a bikini as merely some eye-candy then think again as this is an action packed debut role.
Rihanna, alongside Berg, Taylor Kitsch and Brooklyn Decker, was in London earlier this week to promote the movie. And here are some little snippets from the press conference:

Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper’s fiancée; Alexander Skarsgård as Hopper’s older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper’s crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone’s superior (and Sam’s father), Admiral Shane.
