Hit & Run
October 12th sees the release of Hit and Run in cinemas. Starring Dax Shepard as former getaway driver who busts out of witness protection in order to drive his girlfriend, played by Kristen Bell, to Los Angeles.
Things become complicated when the pair are chased cross-country by both the feds and friends from his hidden past. Not only does Kristen Bell play Dax’s leading lady in the movie, but in real life Dax and Kristen are engaged!
To celebrate Hit and Run’s release we’re having a look at real life on screen relationships - the good, the bad and the ugly.
- Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman
Before Katie Holmes there was Nicole Kidman. The Oscar winning actress met Cruise on the set of their 1990’s movie Days of Thunder.
The pair were married for eleven years, adopting two kids, before they divorced dramatically days due to religious differences, or so we are told...
Not exactly a Hollywood happy ending. Nicole wasn’t even Tom’s first wife and certainly wasn’t his last. The Hollywood A-listers were married less than a year after his divorce from actress Mimi Rogers.
- Kirsten Stewart and Robert Pattinson
The 2008 fantasy romance Twilight brought together Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart for the first time as Edward Cullen and his lover Bella.
Onscreen, the chemistry between the pair was obvious, so it wasn’t totally surprising when more and more photos of K-Stew and R-Patz together started appearing everywhere.
The Twilight Saga is finally drawing to a close, and with the Kirsten’s recent betrayal (Trampire!) of Robert we’re hoping that K-Patz doesn’t come to a similar end.

When Hannah Montana and Thor’s kid brother - I mean Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth - announced their engagement earlier this year, it wasn’t a total surprise. After all, their romance was kindled onset of the 2010 Nicholas Sparks film, The Last Song.
Cyrus and Hemsworth wasn’t the first alliance kindled onset of a Nicholas Sparks movie. In 2004, The Notebook saw Rachel McAdams unite with Ryan Gosling both on screen and off screen.
- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt met on the set of the 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The pair played the eponymous married couple who discovered that not only were they both assassins, but that their next targets were each other.
Unfortunately Brad was still married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston when he fell in love with Jolie and the scandal created media frenzy (Remember those infamous Team Aniston/Team Jolie tees?).
However, with a brood of six and plans to get married, we’re hoping that nothing (or no one) gets in between Brangelina.

When it comes to the stars of Hit and Run, Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell, art imitates life. Unlike the rest of our Hollywood couples the pair didn’t meet onset and instead started dating way back in 2007.
Three years later they were engaged. This year writer and director Dax cast fiancé Kristen as his leading lady in Hit and Run, where the loved up couple show off their real life chemistry and adorable relationship as Charlie and Annie.
Hit and Run hits cinemas on Friday October 12th!
