Discovering a suitcase full of cash Moss flees with the money unaware that merciless killer (Javier Bardem) is already on his trail. Several steps behind is Sheriff (Tommy Lee Jones) who is concerned by the rising number of dead bodies.

Critics:

‘A scorching blast of tense genre filmmaking.’ Variety

‘A masterly tale of the good, the deranged and the doomed that inflects the raw violence of the west with a wry acknowledgement of the demise of codes of honour, this is frighteningly intelligent and imaginative.’ Time Out

‘Here’s the gist: It’s a near masterpiece.’ New York Magazine
