The second half of Jean-François Richet's biopic charting the rise and fall of notorious crook Jacques Mesrine.
Following his outlandish criminal exploits and eventual imprisonment overseas, Mesrine is back on French soil and in police custody facing charges for a long list of illegal activities.
But after kidnapping the judge and fleeing the courtroom during his trial, the audacious gangster goes on the run and is named public enemy number one.
However, Commander Broussard (Olivier Gourmet) is on his tail, doggedly tracking the villain until he finally puts him back behind bars.
It's here that Mesrine reinvents himself as a superstar criminal, penning an autobiography and becoming a household name.
Of course, it's not long before he's up to his old tricks again, escaping prison, committing increasingly outrageous crimes and garnering column inches. But time is running out for the infamous felon as Broussard closes in for the final, bloody confrontation.
