Luke Evans is back on the big screen this week as he takes on the role of Zeus in the highly anticipated Immortals.
The actor may already have the likes of Clash of the Titans and Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll under his belt but the last eighteen months have seen the actor's career soar.
And that really all kicked off last year when he took on the role of Andy Cobb in Tamara Drewe, which was directed by Stephen Frears and starred Gemma Arterton.
But 2011 has been a super busy year for the actor as he has mixed and matched his roles from crime drama to a more family friendly project.
Blitz was the first movie project of the year for Evans as he teamed up with Jason Statham for Blitz.
However it took on his first blockbusterish role this autumn with the release of The Three Musketeers, in which he played Aramis.
Matthew MacFayden, Ray Stevenson and Logan Lerman made up the rest of the Musketeers as Paul W.S. Anderson brought a very family friendly version to the big screen.
The movie was light and fun but it has struggled at the global box office.
Immortals on the other hand is a movie that I have been looking forward to for months - it is from the producers of 300 and, fingers crossed, it should look stunning.
Evans takes on the role of Zeus in another action packed role for the Brit actor in which he will star alongside Henry Cavill and Mickey Rourke.
Theseus is a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion, who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity.
And while 2011 has been a successful year for Evans next year looks set to be even bigger for the actor.
The Raven is the first movie of 2012 for the actor as he teams up with John Cusack for the period thriller.
But there is one huge project on the horizon for Evans and that comes in the form of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit.
Yes Evans is currently down in New Zealand taking on the role of Bard in the adaptation of the popular novel.
The Hobbit has been split into two films and will be released in 2012 and 2013 - a movie that could see his star rocket even further.
Immortals is released 11th November.
