Love Aaj Kal
In the distant past, a sardar (Saif Ali Khan) who lives in a village in Punjab encounters a beautiful young woman (Deepika Padukone) and it's love at first sight.
In an age when affections are expressed modestly he is satisfied with a love from afar that is coyly reciprocated by the object of his affections. Love leads naturally to marriage, which lasts a lifetime.
We skip to modern London and Saif is now a slick city boy with style, sophistication and all the right moves. A chance meeting with Deepika Padukone in a coffee bar leads to romance and a complicated cat-and-mouse game of love ensues.
The relationship takes on a whole new turn when another woman enters the fray in a film that sparklingly contrasts the innocent love of the past with the complexity of relationships in the modern age.
