Queen of the romantic comedy Katherine Heigl is back on the big screen with her new movie Life as We Know It, which sees her team up with Josh Duhamel.
Holly Berenson (Katherine Heigl) is an up-and-coming caterer and Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel) is a promising network sports director.
After a disastrous first date, the only thing they have in common is their dislike for each other and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie.
But when they suddenly become all Sophie has in the world, Holly and Messer are forced to put their differences aside.
Juggling career ambitions and competing social calendars, they'll have to find some common ground while living under one roof.
Ok so Life As We Know it delivers that you expect from a romantic comedy there is laughter, tears, romance and heartbreak but you can't helped but be charmed by this movie.
Heigl and Duhamel are perfectly cast together as two people who loathe one another who find themselves the joint guardians of their god-daughter.
They fight and banter as they try to be the parents that they need to be with hilarious consequences, and Duhamel is a good comedy sparring partner for the now very experienced at this genre Heigl.
Ok so the movie doesn't make any new strides with the genre, and it is a tad long, but there are some really fun moments as Holly and Messer bond with Sophie, who really is a beautiful baby.
This type of movie has been done to death over the years but this one really does gets its hooks into you and you find yourself rooting for this thrown together couple as they try to figure out what it is they want.
And while the story does take a little detour in the middle we do arrive to a perfectly wrapped up conclusion. And while this movie isn't exactly most original movie you will see this year, and it is very predictable, it should warm your heart.
