The movie marks the return to the director's chair for Oscar winning filmmaker Tom Hooper in what is his first project since the success of The King's Speech.
This latest video takes us behind the scenes of the filming of Les Mis as Hooper and the rest of the cast discuss the unique way the movie was shot:
But what is so exciting about the Les Miserables movie is the awesome cast that has been assembled - as you can tell from the video they are all on song vocally as well.
HUgh Jackman takes on the central character of Jean Valjean while Oscar winner Russell Crowe play Javert.
And they are joined by Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne and Amanda Seyfried while Samantha Banks, who is tipped for big things, makes her big screen debut as Eponine.
Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France,Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption - a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.
Hugh Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Russell Crowe) after he breaks parole.
When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.
I know that it is a little too early to really be talking about Oscars but expect Les Miserables to be a major force during the awards season - fingers crossed we see the film as well as some of the actor pick up a few gongs along the way!!!
Les Miserables is released 11th January 2013
