New talent bursting onto the big screen is an on going process that we witness year in and year out.
But there are a group of actors and actresses who over the last couple of years have shown that they are the future of movies - so FemaleFirst takes a look at the new Hollywood Hot List.
Jeremy Renner broke through with The Hurt Locker, for which he was Oscar nominated, and has since seen his star rocket in such a small space of time.
The actor finished 2011 on a major high as he joined the Mission: Impossible franchise with Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.
The movie has performed well over the Christmas period and currently tops the box office on both sides of the Atlantic.
But 2012 looks set to be even bigger for the actor as he has a host of great projects in the pipeline.
But when it comes to Renner there is only one project that everyone is talking about... and that is The Avengers.
Yes we got a brief look at the actor last year as Hawkeye in Thor but this time around we really do get to see him in action alongside Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemswoth, Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo.
All the major Marvel characters have been brought together to fight evil as a team with Joss Whedon at the helm.
The movie promises to be one of the best blockbusters of 2012 - and one I have to admit I am really looking forward to.
But before The Avenger he will be back on the big screen in the spring with his new movie Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, which sees him team up with Gemma Arterton.
Directed by Tommy Wirkola the movie follows Hansel and Gretel fifteen years after the well known story - they are now bounty hunters who track and kill witches.
This is a movie that really is being kept underwraps but it promises to be completely different to anything that he has done before.
And he is currently filming The Bourne Legacy - no he is not taking over the role of Bourne but a new character Aaron Cross.
Tony Gilroy is in the directors chair, as well as penning the script, and we are going to be seeing this movie hit the big screen in August.
Over the last couple of years we have seen Renner mix and match his roles moving from smaller project such as The Hurt Locker & The Town to blockbuster movies such as Mission: Impossible and The Avengers - he is a versatile actor who we should be very excited about!!
