Directed by David Sington In The Shadow of the Moon documents America’s most successful period in space.Between 1968 and 1972 there were nine American spacecrafts sent to the moon with twelve men walking on its surface.This documentary is the first time that a surviving member from every mission has told their story in their words.With this is original NASA footage much of which has never been used before.The result is a film that captures the danger, daring, excitement and pride of every mission and their achievements.The astronauts that speak on the film include Jim Lovell (Apollo 8 &13), Dave Scott (Apollo 9 & 15), Gene Ceron (Apollo 10 & 17), Mike Collins (Apollo 11), Buzz Aldrin (Apollo 11).
