House of Tolerance
The Works UK Distribution is delighted to announce the theatrical release of House of Tolerance on January 27th 2012 in both the UK and Ireland.
Selected for the official competition at Cannes 2011, House of Tolerance is directed by the award-winning Bertrand Bonello (The Pornographer, On War), and stars the strong female ensemble cast of Hafsia Herzi, Celine Sallette, Jasmine Trinca, Adele Haenel, Alice Barnole, Iliana Zabeth and Noemie Lvovsky.
Exquisitely shot, House of Tolerance tells the story of the last days of a French brothel at the dawn of the 20th Century.
In a closed world, where some men fall in love and others turn vicious, the girls form a strong bond, sharing their secrets, their fears, their joys and their pains.
House of Tolerance is released in the United Kingdom by The Works Distribution and opens in cinemas across the UK on 27 January 2012. Certificate 18. Running time 120 minutes.
