- Hilary Erhard Duff was born on September 28th, 1987 in Houston Texas.
- Hilary’s first acting part was in the mini-series True Women (1997) but her first starring role was as Ellie in the Soul Collector for which she won a young artist award for best performance in a TV Movie or Pilot.
- The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003) grossed an impressive 42 million dollars domestically!
- In the very early days of her acting career Hilary also starred in Casper Meets Wendy (1998) where she played the young witch Wendy.
- Hilary measures in at a tiny 5ft 2" (1.57m) tall!
- As well as an epic acting career Hilary has also stormed the music charts with her first album Metamorphosis debuting at number two on the billboard 200 in the states. To date Metamorphosis has sold over 2 million copies and was certified triple platinum.
- Older sister Actress Haylie Duff is in music group Inventing Venus.
- Hilary likes all types of music except Techno.
- Hilary Duff accepted the role for smash hit A Cinderella Story (2004) because Cinderella was her favourite fairytale when she was growing up.
- Hilary Duff was voted the 19th Greatest Teen Idol of all time by VH1 in 2003!
- Hilary has her own clothing line Stuff by Duff in the US which made 5 million dollars in its first year.
- She has a Chihuahua named Lola and a black Pomeranian named Chiquita.
- Hilary donated sales from her sold out Most Wanted Tour to the Tsunami victims in South Asia.
- Hilary’s ex boyfriend Joel Madden is the lead singer for Good Charlotte.
- Hilary was mentioned in Eminem’s song Ass Like That.
- Her favourite film is Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.
- In 2006 Hilary made Rolling Stone magazine’s list of top money makers. Duff was the youngest person on the list and was joined by music heavyweights U2 and the Rolling Stones.
- After announcing this year she is to wed her long term boyfriend and hockey player Mike Comrie, Hilary bought a $3.85 million Beverly Hills mansion.
- Hilary donated $200,000 to the American Red Cross and $50,000 to USA Harvest to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
