Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell are set to team up for a political comedy directed by Jay Roach. The man behind Austin Powers and Meet The Parents will be directing the as yet untitled film which will follow two presidential candidates as they vie for the highest seat of power in the United States. The film is cleverly poised for a 2012 release date which will coincide with the next presidential elections. Writers Chris Henchy, the co-writer of The Other Guys, and Shawn Harwell, a writer on HBO's Eastbound & Down which stars Danny McBride, are set to pen the script and it is set to be produced by Gary Sanchez Productions, which is Will Ferrell and Anchorman director Adam McKay's production company. With Galifianakis stealing every scene in every film he's been in in the past couple of years, from The Hangover to Dinner For Schmucks and through to The Hangover sequel due next year. Whereas Will Ferrell always manages to provide the laughs, especially if Adam McKay has any involvement. This looks like a film to keep an eye on. Female First James Butlin
