Kaleidoscope Entertainment will proudly release Director, James Erskine’s latest feature documentary From The Ashes on 10th May.
Covering the story of English cricket’s greatest ever comeback. Erskine previously directed the critically acclaimed feature documentary One Night In Turin.
From The Ashes follows the famous 1981 Ashes series, known to many as 'Botham’s Ashes', where cricketing legend Sir Ian Botham stole the show and brought England Ashes glory against all the odds.
Kaleidoscope Entertainment will launch the World Premiere of From The Ashes in association with Sir Ian Botham’s nominated charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, with a special 'One Night Only' digital screening in up to 100 UK cinemas on 10th May.
An exclusive Q&A will follow the screening at London’s Curzon Mayfair and will feature Sir Ian Botham, Bob Willis MBE and legendary umpire Dickie Bird MBE.
It will be chaired by charity patron, Alastair Campbell and will be broadcast live via satellite across the digital screen network.
Sir Ian Botham will be in attendance at the exclusive Charity World Premiere along with key members from both the original and subsequent England Teams and high profile cricket celebrities.
Sir Ian Botham said, "This film brings back great memories, it was a fantastic time for English cricket and the team of 1981... we played a blinder.
"I am very pleased that the World Premiere will be in support of blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and that it will help raise vital funds to beat childhood leukaemia."
From The Ashes is in cinemas across the UK on 10th May and available on DVD 30th May.
