This week has seen Comic Con once again role into town and the movie world has descended into frenzy over the movies that are going to be coming our way in the next year.
So here at FemaleFirst we thought we would round up all of the Comic Con gossip and see what we should be getting excited over.
For months now there has been a will Christopher Nolan return to the Batman franchise of won't Christopher Nolan return to the Batman franchise and will a sequel to The Dark Knight go ahead at all?
And that question was answered in part by Gary Oldman during Comic Con when he told a fan that filming for the next movie would begin next year. However he didn't go on to say who would be in the director's chair.
Ever since the release of The Dark Knight last summer rumours have flown around that The Riddler would be the caped crusader's next villain, with Johnny Depp and Eddie Murphy both linked to the role.
There was plenty of confirming and denying going on as David Tennant denied that he had been cast in the lead role in The Hobbit, seeing as he is about to leave the role of the Doctor he would have plenty of spare time on his hands.
Still on the topic of The Hobbit Peter Jackson, who is serving as producer, warned fans not to get to excited as the project was yet to get the green light despite work beginning on sets for the film.
After the success that Iron Man enjoyed at Comic Con last year filmmaker Jon Favreau was back to promote the second film in the franchise, which is still being shot, and give fans a little sneak preview.
The director also announced that a third film is also in the pipeline however he didn't not know of he would be returning to the director's chair for the third outing of Tony Stark.
But he did reveal that Iron Man two would not be a cliffhanger it would be a self contained storyline.
There was more Marvel news in the form of Captain America as company executive Kevin Feige revealed some details about the film.
"This movie is Steve Rogers's origin story, and I think it is our burden to make Steve Rogers as appealing as any of our other characters... he's not just the perfect boy scout who follows order every time. He has ideals he wants to live up to."
"Setting it in World War II - the Marvel version of World War II - I think is gonna open it up in another big way... What's funny is it will actually end up being, I think, our most diverse and our most international film, in terms of the content of the movies itself."
Production on the film is expected to get underway next summer.
Rumours were also circulating about the Avengers movie and that all of the characters may not be involved at the moment it looks like Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and Nick Fury are all good to go. The presence of the Hulk was still unclear.
However a Thor movie will begin shooting early next year according to Feige and they are close to finding the rest of the cast to join Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Natalie Portman.
Away from the Marvel Comic universe and Tron was also causing a massive buzz at the convention as first footage from the film was screened.
The movie is a sequel to the 1982 cult classic and sees Jeff Bridges return to the movie.
