Chris Evans is back on the big screen this week as well as back in the Marvel fold with his new movie Captain America: The First Avenger.
His newest projects sees him lead the cast in what is his biggest movie role to date - one he is currently reprising with The Avengers.
The American star found success in 2001 with comedy movie Not Another Teen Movie, the role of Jake Wyler really launched his career.
Those early years saw him mix and match his roles as he went from action movie Cellular to the independent films Fierce People and London.
But 2005 brought him his first taste of the blockbuster as he landed the role of Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four, a big screen adaptation of the Marvel comic.
Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis and Julien McMahon were also on the cast list while Tim Story was in the director's chair.
However the movie did not enjoy the success of the other Marvel movies such as Spider Man as it was not received well by the critics. Despite this it put in a solid performance at the box office - taking $330 million.
Surprisingly Fantastic Four returned for a sequel two years later with Rise of the Silver Surfer; which also struggled with critics and at the box office.
Since then has continued to take on a string of different project including sci-fi movies Push and Sunshine, the later of which is particularly good, as well as comedies with The Nanny Diaries and The Losers.
But this summer promises to be the biggest of the actor as Captain America: The First Avenger is one of the must see blockbuster movies.
After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America's ideals.
Evans leads an all star cast that includes Hugo Weaving, Stanley Tucci, Dominic Cooper and Tommy Lee Jones - I have to admit that it is a movie that I have been looking forward to for months.
And the actor is reprising the role as we speak with filming of The Avengers underway - the movie brings together Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk and Hawkeye with Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner also on the cast list.
Away from Marvel action movies that actor has plenty of projects in the pipeline and has already completed work on What's Your Number, which also stars Anna Faris and Martin Freeman.
He has also been linked to movie Luna, which is set to be directed by Doug Liman and star Bradley Cooper.
Captain America: The First Avenger is released 29th July.
