Beautiful Creatures is one of the early 2013 movies to watch out for as the Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl novel is brought to the big screen.
This haunting, supernatural and dark love story Richard LaGravenese back in the director's chair for the first time since Water For Elephants.
And LaGravenese is one of the most visual filmmakers - Water for Elephants being particularly beautiful - so I can't wait to see what he does with this movie.
If you are also looking forward to the film then we have the new trailer for you to check out:
Alice Englert has already caught everyone's eye this year as she starred in Ginger & Rose with Elle Fanning earlier this year but now she is set to lead the cast as she takes on the role of Lena Duchannes.
Speaking of the cast she is joined by Emma Thompson, Emmy Rosum, Jeremy Irons, Viola Davis and Alden Ehrenreich.
Small-town teen Ethan Wate (Ehrenreich) dreams of escaping his ordinary life until the day he meets Lena Duchannes (Englert). His attraction is intense: this is the girl he has been dreaming of... literally.
They have the same sense of humour. They have both lost their mothers. And unbeknownst to them, they are inextricably linked by supernatural events that took place long before they were born.
Even when Lena confesses to being a 'Caster,' a witch, and warns him that he could be hurt just by being with her, Ethan’s affections are unwavering. But as Lena’s 16th birthday approaches, everything spins desperately out of control.
Knowing the forces of Light and Dark will soon converge to claim her for good or evil, Lena fears for Ethan’s safety. So she makes an incredible sacrifice: she erases their love from Ethan’s memory.
But their connection is inescapable, and as Darkness closes in on Lena, she will have to choose between saving Ethan and holding on to everything else she cares about.
Beautiful Creatures is released 13th February
