The swagger and cockiness of Tony Stark returns to the big screen this week as Avengers Assemble is unleashed.
And if you have Tony Stark then you are going to have Robert Downey Jr as he plays this character for the third time - but the first time since Iron Man 2 in 2010.
Downey Jr kicked off his Marvel career back in 2008 when he took on the role of Iron Man for the very first time.
The role transformed his career and saw him really move back onto the A-List after years of trouble.
The character of Iron Man was created by Stan Lee and appeared in Tales of Suspense for the first time back in 1963.
Since Iron Man hit the big screen back in 2008 the franchise has grossed in excess of $1 billion at the global box office - and there is a third movie on the horizon.
Tony Stark is the CEO of Stark Industries, taking over control of the company at the age of twenty one.
Stark is a genius inventor, billionaire playboy who is only interested in himself until he is critically wounded and kidnapped in an ambush in Afghanistan.
After escaping by building a suit of armour his company stops building weapons and he want to fight against evil.
By building a more advanced suit he becomes Iron Man but finds himself in the battle of his life when he is betrayed by long time business associate Obadiah Stane.
But with his identity revealed Stark is under pressure to turn his suit and the technology he used to build it over to the U.S. government.
But he is called into action again when Ivan Vanko reveals that he has build destructive weapons of his own.
The Avengers initiative is discussed in more detail in Iron Man 2 but Nick Fury, played throughout by Samuel L. Jackson, tells Stark that he is not suitable to join this elite group.
And while he may not be suitable he is called into action by Nick Fury and he is the heart and the soul of the group.
He is joined by Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk and Black Widow, played by Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson.
Avengers Assemble is released 26th April
