Anna Faris has shot to fame in recent years with her comic roles in the Scary Movie franchise and The House Bunny.
She returns to the big screen this week with two movies: FAQ About Time Travel which sees her join forces with Chris O'Dowd and Dean Lennox Kelly and Observe and Report with Seth Rogen.
After studying English Literature at University of Washington her first big movie role came in 1999 with Lovers Lane.
However it was to be her role in Scary Movie a year later that was to shoot her to comedy fame. Faris went on to reprise her role as the dim witted Cindy Campbell in Scary Movie two, three and four.
She turned her hand to television next as she took on the role of Erica, who gives birth to Chandler and Monica's twins, in the final series of hit show Friends.
Roles in Waiting, Lost in Translation, Brokeback Mountain and My Super Ex-Girlfriend all followed, her Brokeback role of LaShawn Malone showing that she could do more than just slapstick comedy.
The House Bunny was a box office hit for the actress last year as it opened at #2 in the US while topping the box office in the UK.
Faris starred as Shelley Darlington has lived at the Playboy mansion for the last nine years. She is Hef's favourite and acts like a den mother to the other girls.
On her birthday, she is unceremoniously evicted from Hef's pad for 'being too old.' Homeless and without essential skills, Shelley wanders around L.A. until she finds a new job, the housemother at the most unpopular sorority on campus.
This week sees her starring in two movies. Observe and Report sees her star alongside Seth Rogen and Ray Liotta.
She will also star in Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel follows three social outcasts; two geeks and a cynic, as they attempt to navigate a time-travel conundrum in the middle of a British pub. Faris plays a girl from the future who sets the adventure in motion.
Later this year Faris will also appear in Young Americans and Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs is in post production.
FAQ About Time Travel is released 24th April.
