Angel (Hesme, Regular Lovers), a beautiful and fierce young woman with a mysterious past, arrives in a small fishing harbour in Normandy.
She meets Tony (Gadebois, Gainsbourg), a professional fisherman, via the personal ads, who finds himself attracted to her although he dislikes her blunt ways.
Tony hires her as a fishmonger, puts her up in his home, which he shares with his mother and teaches her the tricks of the trade.
The relationships between Myriam, Tony's mother, and Angel are far from easy but the young woman gradually adapts to her new environment and little by little Tony and Angel manage to tame each other.
Alix Delaporte's feature debut is a work of subtle intimacy about the need for a human connection, with pitch-perfect, wholly naturalistic performances from Clotilde Hesme and Gregory Gadebois, letting the heartwarming story breathe slowly but steadily, in synch with the characters and the forceful Normandy seaside breeze.
Starring: Clotilde Hesme, Gregory Gadebois
