This Friday, April 13th marks 28 days until the virus releases again in cinemas
A special event to kick-off the awareness of 28 WEEKS LATER is being staged this evening against the cliff wall in Dover. The highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 international smash hit 28 DAYS LATER will be released across the UK and Ireland on Friday, May 11th.
In 28 WEEKS LATER, the entire country is quarantined after being contaminated by the highly contagious man-made rage virus. The significance of projecting the biohazard symbol on to white cliffs is heightened not only because they are one of our nations most famous landmarks but also because they are featured prominently in the film.
28 WEEKS LATER, the follow up to the hugely successful 28 Days Later, picks up six months after the rage virus has annihilated the British Isles. The US Army declares that the war against infection has been won, and that the reconstruction of the country can begin but they could not be more wrong. As the first wave of refugees arrive, and a family is reunited, a terrible secret is revealed.....The virus is not yet dead, and this time, it is more dangerous than ever.
