Thomasina Miers, winner of BBC TVs MasterChef and consultant to car company Vauxhall, has devised a range of snacks that are simple to put together and full of slow burning energy designed to keep frayed nerves and hunger pangs at bay for drivers and passengers.
The Food on the Move recipes is a great alternative to unhealthy snack options like the ones I buy - the three Cs - coke crisps and chocolate.
Vauxhall and Thomasina decided to turn their attention to journey pit-stops after their research found that British drivers were disappointed with food on offer in service stations with 80% saying it was unhealthy and 70% believing it was also poor quality. What about the cost of it as well? Outrageous prices these service stations charge.
So Thomasina has devised the Vauxhall Food on the Move! recipes that include chocolate baguettes, smokey paprika wholemeal pitta bread crisps, fueling flatbread wraps like chicken and avocado, caramelised nuts, bite size cubes of date and walnut flapjacks, and boxes of cherry tomatoes, grapes and apples.
Mouth watering I will agree but guess who will have to make it? Yes us poor girls with obviously nothing better to do in our lives
Hmm, think Ill stick with my coke, crisps and chocolate thank you.
