A simple adaptation to one of Henry Ford’s most famous statements has resulted in a new "fordism" that will make a difference and demonstrate Busseys green values.
Busseys, a family run business, has introduced a groundbreaking initiative to help preserve our planet - for every car purchased the Norfolk based car dealership will plant a tree. The scheme is being run in conjunction with Norfolk County Council.
The project will commence in March and it is estimated that 2,500 cars will be sold in the first 12 months, equating to woodland of seven acres being open to the community.
Planting will start around November once the weather is suitable.
But it does not stop there as Busseys are committed to its ‘green initiatives’.
They continue to be dedicated in selling Flexible Fuel Vehicles, encourage customers to accept e-mail to reduce paper wastage and have spent over £20,000 introducing new energy management systems which have already resulted in reduced heating oil purchase by 46%.
I read this and thought it was such a lovely story I had to share it with you. It gives us hope that there are some dedicated dealerships out there that are genuinely concerned about our dwindling environment but more importantly, are doing something about it.
