Well, I finally hit A-list Thursday night and attended my first ever VIP preview event in London’s Covent Garden.
Unlike such previews, for instance Fashion, whereby all the size zero models parade up and down the catwalk in cloths that look ridiculous and certainly out of place in an ordinary world the catwalk last night was electrifying as Jaguar unveiled its stunning new concept car the C-XF.
Clad in sliver metallic paint the C-XF is simply beautiful with stunning curvaceous lines, a sleek body while inside blue lights float around the luxurious cabin.
Needless to say, the elite journalists invited, and me, were mingling with some rather affluent potential buyers and whilst Terry and Gerard had requested private viewings, there were one or two famous names from the football fraternity.
Not that I am implying this is footballers car. It’s too subtle and sophisticated for that!
But I had a jolly good time meeting and talking with various people in between admiring this awesome creature and the Jaguar PR girl asked me at the end if I had met anyone interesting. Rather flippantly I remarked ‘some football manager’ who just happened to be standing behind me, heard this comment turned and started laughing.
You see it was not just some football manager, it happened be Stevie boy who apparently manages England!
Oops, sorry Steve but lovely to have met you.
Best stick to rugby.
