Laughter is indeed the best medicine- studies have shown that laughter can boost your immune system, relieve tension and help you to relax. With all these benefits, it seems silly not to pass them on- especially on today of all days. Here are some things you can do to give yourself or someone else a chuckle:
Share a funny post on Facebook- Whether you seek it out or share one someone else has already posted that makes you laugh. Chances are- it will make someone else too.
Look up funny videos on You Tube- There are thousands of videos on there that have been posted with the sole purpose of making you laugh, so take a look through them with someone you care about and have a chuckle together.
Share a funny story- With someone at work, a family member, your partner or friend. We all have stories tucked away that we haven’t told yet- so dust them off and give someone the giggles.
Watch a funny movie- One you know makes you double up every time you see it- just sit back and enjoy.
Watch your favourite stand up on DVD or streaming service- Even if you have seen their routine many times before- watch it anyway- you know they will brighten up your night.
Find your local Laughter Yoga Class- And join in!
Change your ringtone to laughter- So every time someone calls it puts a smile on your face before you answer.
Text someone a joke- If you don’t have a stock of your own- look some up online and send it over to someone you know needs some laughter in their life.
Look at old pictures- The ones that have amusing stories attached to them or the ones that make you snort just by looking at them.
Pull up an old video on your phone- You may be embarrassing yourself, but it always generates the laughs.
