Ashley Olsen, Cheryl Cole and Fearne Cotton have all be spotted working the tux jacket look to a tee- teaming it with shorts, hotpants, jeans and even leather leggings.
The tux look is very versatile and doesn't need to be restricted as part of a trouser or skirt work suit. In fact, tuxedo jackets have made a big fashion comeback in the last few months, with it being the first choice for women as a sexy cover up in the cold winter months.
Tuxedo jackets come a long way since the ill-fitting designs seen in the 80s, as the high-street have got smart and picked up on fitted, cropped and baggy blazers too.
Designers also are loving the look, especially with power dressing being a big trend for Autumn/Winter 08. Stella McCartney's tailoring is rarely surpassed for it's glamour factor too, so it's nice to know that high-street are paying attention to those in the know.
With this in mind, we show you how to get some great tux lux this Winter, with some fabulous offerings from the high-street...
Tartan
Fitted Tux Jacket, Boohoo.com, £22
Do we need to remind you that tartan is a huge trend this season? Thought not! We're loving this stylish offering from Boohoo and for only £22 it would be rude not to! Wear with fitted jeans and skyscaper heels to make the most of this look.
Nautical
Nautical Tux Jacket, Miss Real, £29
Cheryl Cole was spotted in a similar jacket when she was filming the X Factor auditions back in August, and this little offering is just £29. This unique looking blazer will look great just thrown over a dress for either day or night.
Wild
Patterned Tuxedo Jacker, Topshop Tux Delux, £65
Raah! is all we have to say about this funky design, which wouldn't look out of place in Kate Moss' or Fearne Cotton's wardrobes. Best to keep the rest of your outfit simple if opting for such a funky tux, why not try teaming it with some PVC leggings and boots, if you're feeling brave enough!
Asymmetric
Asymmetric Tuxedo Jacket, Oli, £50
This cute jacket also works the nautical trend to a tee, what with its pewter buttons and grey lined trim. This jacket works best when only half done up, so the design is the key focal point- too closed up and you'll look too prim.
Structured shoulders
Puffed Shoulders Tuxedo, Warehouse, £50
This jacket looks a lot more expensive than it is. In fact it could easily belong to a designer collection. We're loving the puffy shoulder detail and the fitted design that Warehouse have created here, it's stunning.
