This is a collection that you don’t won’t pass by in a flurry of super slim models, but something that needs to be admired up close.
Thankfully that’s how we got to see it.
The handcrafted pieces are something to be admired, knitwear – texture patterned leather with integrated knitting in an Autumn/Winter palette of black, grey and beige.
A subtle movement between illusion and reality, where 2D looks like 3D, and vice versa is the inspiration of the collection.
For example, what we see as fur is knitting, and what seems to be knitting is indeed laser implementation of ravelling. Using the contemporary technologies such as 3D printing, laser and advanced threads and fabrics, Irina’s approach to designing clothing creates a new paradigm.
This cohesive design-process of creating 3D flexible textures for the surface effect and contrariwise allows designer to illustrate how garments can act as provocateurs through added dimensions and notions of movement. The collection is feminine in an unusually and intelligent sexy way.
“I strive towards bringing versatility within my design, thus offering conversational pieces that are created to evolve with the wearer. My designs are for a very contemporary urban woman, and I think it’s an obvious and well-balanced woman,” says designer Irina.
