Subtle Tartan
Tartan is set to be a massive trend this summer but it isn't one of the most subtle of prints and can be difficult to wear in a formal situation- such as to the office.
But never fear Female First are here and we've come up with this super cute outfit that allows you to embrace autumn/winter's biggest trend without looking like a Bay City Rollers fan.

We love this sweater from Peacocks. The hint of tartan at the neckline means it's bang on trend while the black knit is great for slimming the waist and nice and cosy for the autumn chill.
To keep it simple team a tartan item with plain pieces. A simple black pencil skirt is all that's needed here to keep this look smart and sophisticated.

We've added these cute patent bow shoes from Debenhams to bring out the goregous red of the tartan and some simple scarlet stud earrings (set of three, Dorothy Perkins, £7) to finish off the look.
