Looking and feeling good has never been more important, given our current economic crisis, which is getting us all down. Thank goodness for the ample amount of fashion shows on the TV, which give us that much needed lift in our darkest fashion hours.
We have Gok with his fabulous fashion fix and tips on how to look good naked, and then we have US stylist Jay Manuel and his celebrity style steal for women who lack confidence.
We take a closer look at the style TV shows out there and give them our verdict.
Frock Me
This new show for T4 sees Alexa Chung and Henry Holland celebrate all things fashion and music. It only started two weeks ago, but with a fashionista onboard and a top designer, not to mention model-of-the-moment, Agyness Deyn- it looks set to be a must-watch every Sunday. Perfect hangover TV too!
Style Her Famous
This is a big hit in the U.S. which sees stylist to the stars, Jay Manuel take a woman each week and transform her to look like her favourite celebrity. The deeper underlying message is of course, to take this celebrity inspiration and channel it into your own look, and hopefully your own confidence will shine through.
Gok Wan
Gok is a firm favourite with most viewers and it's not hard to see why. His honesty, charm and charisma make him very watchable indeed. His first show, How to Look Good Naked was a huge hit on C4 and they recently aired his new show, Gok's Fashion Fix, to similar success. Gok is the modern day shining knight for women in distress with their figures, and you've got to love his quirky look and straight-forward talking.
Trinny and Susannah Undress The Nation
They were the pioneers of style shows, but now sadly we think they just haven't got the same appeal as they used to. Since leaving 'What Not To Wear' a few years ago, they have tried to replicate their success with a similar style format, but their brutal honesty and shock tactics have left them out in the cold with viewers.
