Spring fashion is here and we couldn’t be more excited to try out the trends, but what about updating your work wardrobe?
Here we have four spring trends that you can wear to work without feeling too dressed down, or too dressed up for a day in the office.
Pastel blouse
Pastels were the big colour trend for SS14 seen at Burberry, Calvin Klein, Zac Posen and more, but how can you translate them to work wear without feeling you should be working in a milkshake bar? A soft pastel blouse is the simple, stylish answer.
Wear them with cropped smart trousers or tucked into a pencil skirt for a smart look that’s still one trend.
Wide leg trousers
Carolina Herrera showcased a beautiful selection of wide-legged trousers during her SS14 show and we love the idea of wearing a pair of grey trousers with a smart blouse for spring this year. The wide legged trousers are smart and loose enough to keep you cool.
Printed midi dress
Michael Kors’ Spring Summer 14 collection showcased how we can wear the printed midi dress perfectly for work. The soft fabrics and smart and sophisticated fabrics ensure that these are ideal for smart wear. A small belt to nip in your waist and soft muted colours will make these dresses ideal for work.
Shirt Dress
Yet another staple item, the shirt dress came to life for Spring 14 on the Christian Dior catwalk. Wear it loose and carefree with a pair of ballet flats or add a waist belt and printed court shoes for a more structured look.
