Fake crocodile, snake and leopard skin are set to be big news in 2009, and is the favoured look by both the catwalk and celebrities at the moment.
Mock croc was a mini-trend last year that is being expanded upon this season to include bags, bracelets, shoes and in some cases, items of clothing such as coats and skirts.
But it's the accessories that we're focusing on at the moment, so why will this be so big in the upcoming months?
Well, it has a lot to do with the fashion trends coming our way, which will see a return to the 80s, a trip to the Orient and a big party with the Wild West.
A snakeskin clutch or hobo bag will be a great addition to your wardrobe teamed with a fringed jacket, while a pair of leopard print pumps will go nicely with some pop art prints too.
Marc Jacobs, Gucci and Louis Vuitton featured skin accessories on their runway shows this SS09, with tribal influences being used on shoes, jewellery and handbags.
