Vivienne Westwood AW09
We're getting a little ahead of ourselves with this trend, as it was only debuted last month on the London catwalk, but in the interest on bringing you some trends early, we introduce- Schoolgirl Gone Bad.
Now before you go thinking this is one of those trends solely for the young, we'd like to refer you to a little lady called Vivienne Westwood and her amazing AW09 catwalk.
Not only did she put Jo Wood on the runway to model her designs, but she dressed her in what can only be described as a trendy head teacher's outfit too, proving her catwalk was for people of all ages.
Blazers, plaid, checks and over-the-knee socks strutted the runway on the likes of Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal, who both looked like they were totally at home with their catwalk looks.
Westwood's naughty schoolgirl inspired runway was all about having fun with your fashion, so we've come up with a couple of high-street pieces to help you channel that 'bad ass' look, so to speak.
We've adapted this trend a bit to include a washed out Union Jack T-shirt, a leopard print neon bag and a military jacket instead of a blazer, to get you started.
The caged heels will look amazing with some over-the-knee socks or some patterned tights, and we're officially loving the wet-look zipped skirt and St Trinian's style hat. Naughty, but oh-so nice...
