Just when you thought you were safe from the neon monster, we now hear he is branching out into underwear- yep that's right the latest trend is set to be day-glo undies.
It's a terrifying thought, we're sure you'll agree but honestly these are hitting the high-street at the moment, and could soon be adorning some ladies on a night out.
Now for a laugh, we're all for them but as an actual fashion statement- are they crazy!? We know that the 80s are big news for the summer, but surely there is some sort of line for us not to cross?
The 80s weren't fashionable at all, they were just a mishmash of trends piled together, but now we're doing it for a second time, everything is a lot more coordinated and we can pick only the good looks to wear.
Personally we blame Bridget Jones for this whole granny pant revolution, as she arguably kick started the trend for spanx and with that now comes the neon version of that.
Don't get us wrong, they are fab for hiding all our lumps and bumps, not to mention giving us a shape to die for, but there's no denying they are darn ugly.
So how do they propose to remedy this? Well, by making them day-glo of course. You'd still be embarrassed if you got caught flashing your pants in them, but we suppose they are marginally better than the standard nude versions.
Lady GaGa has been championing the underwear look recently, and we suppose she is the modern pioneer of granny pants, after all no-one else has dared to wear them just on their own.
Sienna Miller and Danielle Lloyd have come close, but they chickened out and wore tights with their bizarre looks.
We're still waiting for some less-than-fashion-conscience celeb to give these neon undercrackers a go though, and our bet is on Jordan caving first.
