Mods were the coolest people around in the 1960s and their target logos, union jacks and tailor made suits were the uniform of a generation. We've channelled the retro mod look to create an outfit perfect for today...
Mods may have been gangs of teenagers but there was not a tracksuit or a hoody in sight. Instead they opted for smart suits- with narrow lapels, skinny ties and Ben Sherman shirts.
Female mods dressed androgynously, with short haircuts, men's suits and shirts (often their boyfriend's), flat shoes, and little makeup.
Boyrfriend jackets are very on-trend at the minute and the red slouchy blazer we picked out from Topshop (£60) is perfectly Mod.
We teamed it with blue skinny jeans from Miss Selfridge (£25) and a Mod-esque blue and red checked shirt from Peacocks (£12).
For the finishing touches we added a blue skinny tie from Burton (£7.00) to be worn loosely around the neck and a cool Union Jack cross body bag from ASOS (£8)- all we need now is a scooter and Brighton here we come!
