Our purse strings have been pulled tight during January as we suffer the effects of our spending-filled December, but that doens't mean our style has to suffer.
If you're looking to reinvigorate your wardrobe this year, then we have three items that will do just that and of course still adhere to your budget.
So, take a packed lunch for two weeks this January and use that spare £20 to buy yourself something cheap and cheerful.
Here are our pick of three items that will add something extra to your look, and help brighten up the dull month of January.
Scarf
Not only will a scarf keep the chill of your neck, but it can finish an outfit too. Add a printed one to a plain outfit to give it some lift, or pick a standout colour, like this season's must have pastel shades to give it an up-to-date twist.
Necklace
Last year was definitely all about the statement necklace, and we have a feeling that the accessory is yet to go away. There are a number of retailers who have beautiful statement pieces that won't break the bank. Layer them up for fun and on-trend look, something we expect of Olivia Palermo. The best thing is, they go with practically everything. Some of our favourites have a pop of colour too.
Tights
Whilst we may wear plenty of different tights throughout the week, the chances are the majority that we own are black. Aren't they? So add some colour to your legs, stick to the deeper hues if you don't want to draw too much attention to your limbs, but they will certainly add an interesting touch to your look.
