Tell us about your jewellery collection and where your inspiration comes from?
As a young girl my grandfather, the family jeweller would take me to his office, sit me on his lap, and show me his jewellery collection. I was always amazed by the beauty and craftsmanship of these one of a kind pieces. I dreamt of being able to create my own jewellery collection someday.
As I grew older and started developing an appreciation for fashion, I decided to work on a line of costume jewellery instead of the high end conservative brands I was used to seeing growing up. I wanted to create affordable yet luxurious pieces for a younger, hipper market using less expensive but bold materials. The response was very positive and it gave me the confidence to continue to satisfy my customers.
I follow a lot of high end fashion brands and so I get inspired by the colours and prints they use each season. Inspiration can come from anything for me. It happens daily. Whether you are watching a movie or taking a stroll in a park. It just happens. It’s unexplainable and beautiful.
Where would you like to take your collection next?
I hope to have my brand recognised international in the hopes of displaying them in department stores and boutiques worldwide
Who would you love to see your collection on celebrity wise?
I would love to have Rihanna wear my product. I love her style. She constantly has the ability to shock her followers with her edgy avant guard style. I would love for her to wear my jewellery.
Who would you say your collection is designed for?
My collection is designed for the woman of today which is looking for a statement or simple every day piece that is affordable and of good quality all at the same time.
How about your personal style, how would you describe it?
I don’t have a specific personal style. It really depends on my mood. I can be edgy on same days, and girly feminine on others.
If you could only wear one piece of jewellery for the rest of your life, what would it be?
That would have to be the twisted wire rings. I can never get enough of them. It’s fun to grab a bunch of them and just mix and match different patterns on each finger.
Layering jewellery is a hot trend at the moment, what tips do you have for carrying it off stylishly?
I love to layer my jewellery. I was always opposed to the saying less is more. I actually believe the contrary to be true. Express your individuality. Stand out in a crowd. As long as you’re aware of the fine line between tacky and stylish you are fine.
What jewellery trends would you recommend for Spring/Summer?
I would recommend my duo crown ring. It’s a fun piece to play around with. It feels great to show off your hands after a long winter of hibernating.
