Luella A/W 08

The folk look is going to be everywhere this autumn/winter and with all those patterns and colours it can be a nightmare getting it right without a gypsy overload.

Female First found this fab video that tells you how to get it just right.

The gypsy look was all over the catwalks of Luella and Cavalli back in February and already folk-inspired pieces are creeping onto the high street in time for next season.

This look comprises of splashes of colour brought to a black base with plenty of red and green embroidery, delicate floral fabrics and gingham checks.

Natural looking furs (or faux furs) are also good for the folky look- in fact if it looks like it can be found in a forest then it's pretty much in next season.

Pixie hats (as seen at Luella) are going to be a must-have accessory for those chilly autumn evenings. Simple bobble/ ski hat with a high point is the only way to keep your head as we head into October.
