Felder Felder kicked off London Fashion Week with a grunge-inspired autumn/winter 2014 collection.
The German-born design duo unveiled their latest collection to the fashion pack at Freemasons' Hall in London this morning (14.02.14), showcasing effortlessly cool looks inspired by painter Gerhard Richter.
The catwalk presentation was in keeping with the designers' rock 'n' roll aesthetic, with texturised looks in an autumnal palette of moss, burgundy and earthy nudes - a contrast to last season's aquatic hues.
Colourful quilted styles opened the show, with the collection remaining sharp and serious throughout with an undercurrent of rebellion and attitude.
Standout looks included biker jackets layered over feminine dresses, shimmery faux-leather trousers, egdy pencil skirts worn with crop tops, white suits with sheer panelling and a mohair-embellished nude dress.
Twin sisters Annette and Daniela Felder - who are based in London - gave Richter's abstract work a special shout out in their notes, explaining that their collection was influenced by "nature's bright colours straight from a Gerhard Richter canvas and the ambiguous mood of something bright and charming but with a deeper mystery underneath".
Models sported minimalist make-up accentuated with a silvery sheen, with taupe-coloured eye make-up and casual, undone ponytails giving off a grunge vibe.
Celebrity fans including presenter Zoe Hardman, model Amber Le Bon and reality star Rosie Fortescue looked on from the front row.
